Quite an eye opener! Someone ought to get an award for this. We know the facts, but this brings perspective quickly, doesn’t it? Each cube is a teaspoonful.
The sugar from fruit is different. It is different in the sense that it comes with other valuable nutrients and fibre (or doesn't come with other bad things like saturated fats), despite it having a higher fructose content to the sugar. You won't be able to eat too many apples - or you won't feel like them. In general, fruits are good for you.
On the other hand, the juices from fruit, on their own, are much worse. Don't drink fruit juice. In my opinion, it is a myth that it is a healthy choice when taken in any quantity. Better to eat the fruit.
Fruit juice also tends to have a higher fructose component to the sugar. There is something special about fructose. Fructose is very sweet. Fructose, without the fruit it comes with, is bad for you. It is a liver toxin in large quantities, will raise your cholesterol (or have a similar effect to a diet containing fat) and make you insulin resistant. Avoid it. It is not a healthy choice. Read the labels on foods. Corn syrup is an American term for fructose.
